Since 2015, the Metaenergia Group has activeted the new plants for the production of electricity, equipped with alternative high energy efficiency engines, able to face, in real time, the variations in demand from users. This new plants produce electricity and heat recovering much of the heat from the fumes and the cylinder cooling mechanism. In fact, carrier fluids convery this heat towards both industrial and civil uses, to obtain hot water and controlled climate.

In particular, the recovered thermal energy can be used:

  • in "cogeneration": a combined process that allows the simultaneous production of electricity and useful heating from a single plant, therefore exploiting one source of heat only;
  • in "trigeneration": such process allows the simultaneous generation - from a single source - of thermoelectric power and cooled water for air-conditioning systems or cooling systems of industrial machineries.
